Maafushi is one of the most popular local islands in the Maldives – colourful and vibrant with energy, once you visit you can’t help but love it. It is just 25 km from Male’ and Velana International Airport. It is one of three local islands in Kaafu Atoll with a total population of just over 2,000 people. The area is world famous for its white sandy beaches, blue ocean and enticing coral reefs. Here, hospitality is perhaps the most distinctive aspect of the local population, the beaches are stunning and the tropical climate will put you in a constant holiday mood.

Breakfast. One of the best and most adventurous excursions follows today. How about swimming with sharks? Yes you have read correctly. Today we will swim with sharks. Anyone who has seen the movie Jaws knows that the first thing to do when seeing a shark in the water is to get to shore, but some people do everything in their power to fight human instincts and experience the emotion. Swimming with sharks is one of those experiences. We then head to another local island where we can meet stingrays, pet them and even lie down among them. After this solid dose of seawater and adrenaline, we head to a sandy beach where we will have lunch and take time for photos. Return to the hotel. Overnight. Additional charge of 65€
Breakfast. Today, we will head to an uninhabited beautiful island. A full day on an island with lush vegetation. Along the way we will stop at a scenic spot in the ocean with a sunken fishing boat. We’re sure you love reliving your childhood memories. Now it’s time to go on a treasure hunt as we dive around the ship and have some good old pirate style fun. For those who know how to dive, there will be a photo opportunity with a bike underwater. We will spend the day with a jungle party, lots of dancing, games and surprises. Under the palm trees and the caressing rays of the tropical sun we will return for a while to the carefree childhood years. The time when miracles happened every day and through play we discovered the world around us. We will eat freshly caught fish prepared by a chef. Return to the hotel. Overnight. Music and dancing fill the streets. “Bodu Beru Jehun” (playing big drums). The art of Bodu Beru is unique. Various other games and theatrical street performances are lined up throughout the day, including a parade that includes people painting their bodies with charcoal to personify a black demon, or “Dheli Maali.” Although customs and traditions have changed over time, Bodu Eid remains a testament to the strong community ties of the Maldives. This is a chance to experience Maldivian culture and traditions and enjoy lively celebrations full of excitement, laughter and merriment.
Eid-al-Adha is an Islamic holiday that is celebrated on the day after the day of Hajj, the annual Islamic pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca. This festival is celebrated quite colorfully. Each household prepares an abundance of delicious local food, inviting family, friends and neighbours for breakfast and lunch, and the music and dancing make this an unforgettable celebration. In the Maldives, the beginning of the celebrations usually start with “Fenkulhi”- the most fun chase through the streets of the island, where everyone you meet will stain you with colorful paints. We, too, will become part of these games and run alongside children and adults around the island, turning everyone into a “victim”.

Let’s use the day for walking and buying souvenirs, for some of the missed water sports or just to stretch out under the scorching rays of the tropical sun, because over the evening we head to the most memorable wild party – on an uninhabited island around the fire with lots of music and dancing. We’ll celebrate life – 4pm is the start of our adventure for the evening. We will go to a deserted island where we will meet the sunset and have a special barbecue dinner. The idea is to have a campfire there later and party to the max under the motto – “Let’s go crazy tonight”. There will be music, dancing, singing and lots of surprises. Return to the hotel.

We’ll celebrate life – 4pm is the start of our adventure for the evening. We will go to a deserted island where we will meet the sunset and have a special barbecue dinner. The idea is to have a campfire there later and party to the max under the motto – “Let’s go crazy tonight”. There will be music, dancing, singing and many surprises. Return to the hotel. Breakfast. After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and the island to head to our next location- Daravandu Island and Hanifaru Bay, where we have a few days of snorkeling and diving with the alien mantas. Check in at the hotel and overnight.
Breakfast. Hanifaru Bay. The next two days are scheduled entirely for snorkeling and diving, in search of mantas, whale sharks and viewing other marine life. The bay is known to fill with mantas at full moon and since we have chosen these particular days, we are convinced that we will witness the greatest underwater spectacle.
Our last day in Maldives. Breakfast and check out of the rooms by 12.00. Transfer to Male according to flight schedule. Departure to Sofia.
