Working with the body is the most universal and natural way to resolve one’s own issues and connect with oneself. Let us remember how our body reacts when we are shouted loudly – it shrinks. Our body reacts in a natural and understandable way to the external stimulus – by contracting, i.e. tensing the muscles to further respond to the situation through retaliatory aggression – fight or flight. In real life, however, it is all too rare that we react adequately to external manifestation. A number of limitations appear in front of us: I shouldn’t, it’s scary, I can’t, what will happen, what I look like, etc. Once we receive a “slap” from the outside world, we become paralyzed, start thinking about how to act, and usually repress within ourselves the response, and often the situation itself. And we carry with us for years and even decades the traces of the hurts, disappointments, betrayals and lies.
